Civil Service Training
VIAS in partnership with Samkalp New Delhi
This wing of VIAS started functioning in June 2012 with four Sub Centres in Kottayam District and had five hundred admissions within one month of inception. The academy earned kudos from all fronts for its unique style of functioning and quality of coaching provided. The coaching program included 50 hours of class room training, a one day seminar for students and parents together and Residential Camps for all students during the annual school vacation. The academy is all set to grow leaps and bounds and start operations in all Districts of Kerala. Very soon centres would be opened in other states as well.
We at VIAS provide facilities which were hitherto unavailable to and unheard of by students. Our faculty team includes veterans and experts in different fields of Civil Service and other areas. Our advisory board consists of some of the highly exceptional diplomats and civil service veterans who are living examples of what role models should be. Our students get to interact with civil service aspirants from all over India who have qualified in their preliminary and main papers and are preparing for interviews. We also have organized cultural exchange programs with Samkalp, wherein aspirants from different parts of India would visit our sub centres and share their views and experiences. Similarly our team members would visit coaching centres at other states to get first hand information of how things go on there. Students of VIAS would be given opportunities to be included in special programs conducted by Samkalp at New Delhi.
The curriculum prepared is broadly in line with the examination pattern followed in Civil services examinations and would be revised as and when the pattern is changed by Union Public Service Commission. In addition, the curriculum also includes lessons on personality development, communication skills enhancement, developing leadership skills, life skills etc.
All our faculty members are specially selected through a rigorous selection process to identify the areas of their strengths. Selected members are then meticulously trained for the task they are going to undertake. Only those who successfully qualify the assessment during training are appointed.
